portrait I am a former freelance journalist, newspaper columnist and magazine feature writer.

My novel, Yesterday's Love, is in progress. Set initially in 1976, the story is a provocative romance based on a family man's adulterous affair. The affair is discovered by his wife leading to traumatic confrontations and he is forced to decide between true love and filial love. Does he make the right decision? What devastating secret is concealed from him? Read the first chapter and narrative synopsis.

I am also an artist and regularly use text in my paintings: www.johnsilvertonart.co.uk

Inspired by paintings of renowned artists, I have written a series of flash fiction stories (maximum 250 words). I intend to publish them as a collection in book form, to include details of the paintings adopted as source for the fiction. Read four examples.
